[MPlayer-users] about the skins..?

yeah yeah i know that the main focus of MPlayer is to be the
best commandline-driven movie player and all that ( in fact it is )
but anyhow, those skins have been nearly non-functional for
quite some time now..
( in fact i don't remember any prior versions... as of the latest
MPlayer release those skins freeze, stop responding while
the movie is playing... all sorts of nice stuff )
while i don't need them desperately, i like to have the GUI
option from time to time, but for now i'm only on CLI for MPlayer.. 

are there any plans of updating them? maybe after 0.9.0 release?
