[MPlayer-users] mencoder - how to modify brightness level?

Hi everybody,

 Just wanted to ask - is it possible to convert avi-files using (pre4) mencoder so that the brightness level would be modified (same functionality in mplayer: keys 3 and 4)? If I missed the answer in man-pages/DOCS/FAQ/etc then sorry and please...shoot me ;)
