[MPlayer-users] playing asf files from a win2000 server

hi there.I read that mplayer can play .asf files.i
have a windows 2000 server from which i want to stream
video to my freebsd clients.is it possible for mplayer
to play files from my win2000 server?
if,yes how do i run mplayer to play files which are on
my server?
